Weekend

So the guitar playing is progressing. The boys got together again this weekend. We spent quite a bit of time on "I saw" by Matt Nathanson. But then Zack pulled out "Rockstar" by Nickelback. what an awesome song. Don't we all just want to be rockstars! What a life that would be. Great lyrics to the song as well.

The guitar sessions are a great time and it is a blast to listen to and learn new songs. It is amazing what can be accomplished with three friends, three guitars, and a case of beer. Brian and Zach have been practicing quite a bit and are quickly learning chords and transitions and applying these to songs they enjoy. We need to set a goal of hitting a "open mic" in the city sometime this year to turn our practice into a performance!

Open mic night. Are you insane? OK. I guess I've already sung on MY so that probably would be a larger audience.

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
