Huskers 2-0

Despite the rainy conditions, it was still a wonderful day for a football game Saturday when the Huskers improved to 2-0 with a 56-7 win over Nicholls State. I went to the game with my in-laws and had a great time. The rain hadn't started when we made our way through the farmer's market but then when we got our first beer, for some reason it started to rain. It didn't stop throughout the whole game. I thought we ran the ball well again and, of course, Zac Taylor was strong. I was also impressed by the play of backup QB Joe Ganz. Now the big test comes. USC looms on Saturday and it will be a good measuring stick on how far this program has come since Coach Callahan took over.

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
