Bret's surgery

After a wild, fun weekend with his friends, Bret had to have oral surgery to remove an impacted wisdom tooth. It was the one on the upper left side. It usually doesn't happen to kids his age but it needed to be taken care of and we wanted to do it before school started again.

I think Lori and I were more nervous than he was. He got put under for a few minutes and didn't remember anything. He's never been much of a complainer and he hasn't since the surgery even though Dr. Glenn thought there might be some good soreness.

What a champ! The picture is one of my favorites of him taken in 2004.

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
