Crazy, busy, fun weekend

The weekend got off to a great start when I met some old friends at Wilderness Ridge. It was a great night of talking and sharing old stories.

Then on Saturday morning it was back to Wilderness Ridge for golf with Nunez and Zack. I played pretty well. Shot a 40 on the par 32 ex. course. So basically bogey golf. Then that night we went to my cousin Cindy's for my cousin Lisa's 40th birthday party. There was a lot of laughter. Lisa has battled cancer in the last year and it was really good to see her and spend some time with her since they live outside of Chicago.

Then on Sunday I got in my eight-mile run down to Wilderness Ridge. Man it was tough though. I was starting to battle a cold and it was hotter out than I thought it would be. There isn't any shade along Yankee Hill between 40th and 27th either, but there are a bunch of grasshoppers. Then later in the night, we had our fantasy football draft at Nunez's house with Bill, Joey, me, Bret, Zack and Jake. It was a lot of fun and went really fast. My first two picks are Jones-Drew and Brees!

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
