A day week trip to Kearney

After a fun interview with Elbert Traylor for an upcoming story for L magazine on Monday, I spent most of Monday and Tuesday in Kearney. As part of the Groundwater Foundation we had a booth at the MarketPlace. It was a good show for upcoming business owners and they had a lot of excitement. It was a fun group to be around. The only problem was that I started to get sick. Blah.

I did get to spend some time at Thunderhead Brewery with Dan and talking family, friends and fantasy baseball. I also got a run in on Tuesday night.

Then on Friday night Nunez, Mel, Julie, Zack, Lori and I went to a Make A Wish Friends Council Wine Tasting Event at TalentPlus. I've always wanted to go to the building and more importantly wanted to go with good friends. While there we went together and bought this huge thing of cheese and they are coming over Sunday afternoon to partake.

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
