Yes, the Huskers did play with emotion.
Yes, the crowd was into the game early. I reached into my closet and looked for the oldest Husker t-shirt that I still had hanging up to bring back the glory days. First I found one from 2001 and then one from 1999. Finally I found my old bugeater one from 1994. OK that is great for a Husker fan but to think that I still had a 13-year old shirt hanging in my closet is kind of embarrassing. Even the cheerleaders went old school as you can see on my last picture. They wore them last week. My sister Cheryl had a doll cheerleader that dressed like that. Due to the heat though, they changed at halftime. Hmmm...maybe that is what changed the Huskers' fortunes. Thanks Nunez for the great seats too.
The turning point was Nate Swift's fumble of a punt return. It brought back the ol' here we go again! It was just 16-14 at halftime but then we are outscored 20-0 in the second half. That is getting old! The left side of my face is totally sunburnt though. I never thought that would happen in late October in Nebraska. Thanks Al Gore. Thanks to G and G Reetz Lori and I went out after the game. After a brief stop in Brewsky's, we went to The Oven and had some great food and then we stopped at Scooter's for a chocolate fix of coffee.
