A little running

I got a five-mile run in last night for the first time in quite awhile. I ran it in 52:08 so I was pretty tired and hurting when I got done. I'm still considering doing the Lincoln half-marathon this coming spring so I need to build up even more.

My students are doing their second speech this week. They are OK. I think I will have individual discussions with each of them at class on Monday. They are improving but not at the rate that I had hoped.

I've decided to just let Bret continue to take guitar lessons. I didn't feel like he was getting enough one-on-one attention to learn like he needs to. So he can just teach me when he gets home after practice, that continues tonight.

We are going to be sending Colbi on the Close-up trip to Washington, D.C. this Spring. She's excited about going and I think it will be a great experience for her. So if you receive some fundraising information from us or just want to donate a few bucks to the cause, let me know. :-)

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
