300

Well the sellout date of 300 has finally reached us. It is truly historic when you think about it. What a dedicated bunch of fans. Don't tell me there isn't anything better to do. People love going to the games to support their teams. People could do stuff with their kids, travel to exotic locations or just stay home but they go and go and go. I would venture to guess that there isn't a lot more to do in Lawrence, Kansas on a Saturday afternoon or in Manhttan, Kansas -- trust me, I've been there.

That is what makes this streak so impressive.

They've won 260 of the 299 games.
Notre Dame is second with a streak of 207, our fans helped them a lot with that in 2000.

Oh and I'd like to say that I've been at every game -- but the streak started seven years before I was born. And I'm old -- 40!

Speaking of 40, Happy Birthday Sweetheart! Lori turns the big 4-0 today!

My prediction -- Huskers roll 48-14.

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
