It's been a busy week after being sick but I'm looking forward to the long three-day weekend.
Of course, it's time for the Huskers to kick it off tomorrow against Florida Atlantic.
Here are my overall thoughts heading into a season that I predict 11 wins, including the bowl game.
On offense, I think Zac Lee will do fine at QB. I think that he will run the ball more and with more success than Ganz. I think Cody Green will play though too. At RB, Helu will have a big year but he will also get banged up. I expect Burkhead to get a lot of carries as well. I really like the makeup of the offensive line. I love the tight ends but I'm a big concerned about the receivers. Peterson and Swift were so steady. Are there receivers like that?
On defense, year two under Pelini will see them get much better. I think there will be more consistency and also knowing the defense will allow them to freelance a bit too. I love the defensive line. I'm concerned about the LBs just because they are so young and inexperienced. I think the DB will be great.
