Busy Friday

I got up earlier than normal (5:15) on Friday morning and I went to Madonna ProActive to play basketball with Nunez. It was a great time. I played for like an hour and just like in my high school days, I couldn't miss a shot in warmups but when gametime came around it was bad news. But it was still a good time and great exercise playing 3-on-3 full court.

For supper the family went downtown for Spaghetti Works. I love that place. All you can eat spaghetti for under $10 is quite the deal. Love it.

Then we came home to see the officials beat the Huskers. OK. I don't like to blame officiating but that second half was brutal. I applaud Doc for ripping them out. Maric would get killed and then would call a cheap foul on us. Brutal. KU didn't know how to handle someone getting in their face, just like typical KU teams. They think everything is a cheapshot when they get fouled. Too bad we didn't play them like that in the first two games. Even without Maric, I think things are headed in the right direction. Now if someone will just come to Lincoln in the preseason and play us and get us ready for the Big 12 then we have the makings of an NCAA tournament team.

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
