A few things have been bugging me lately:
Instant replay in Major League Baseball
OK. I know that something needs to be done. But this is just terrible timing. They are saying that it will go into effect on Thursday. Really? Do all of the teams that have been screwed over this season it's just forgotten. Those games earlier this season will have an impact. Why not wait until the end of the season and but it into effect for the postseason. That would make much more sense to me. Another blunder by Bud.
Blackshirts
Coach Pelini (also known as Bo Wonder) has yet to give out any Blackshirts. To me a Blackshirt is a way. Do you know what I mean? You are a Blackshirt. It doesn't mean that you are on the first-team defense for Nebraska. It isn't something that you are entitled to. You know if you are a Blackshirt or not. You have to earn your way to being a Blackshirt. To me it means that you've played through injuries, you've made big plays in games, you are look at as a leader on the defense, you know where you want to go. That is a Blackshirt. Is everyone on the defense a Blackshirt right now? No. But I can name a few:
Ty Steinkuhler -- Definitely yes! Has battled through injuries and yet plays his heart out!
Philip Dillard -- Yes! He lost like 30 pounds coming into this season to be ready and really wants it.
Zach Potter -- He hasn't proved anything to me yet. No!
Cody Glenn -- Of course not. Until he gets on the field and makes some plays he doesn't deserve it. He was a fourth string running back. Who wouldn't make that move to try and get playing time? Did he make it for the team? Sure. But he also knew he wouldn't be on the field otherwise.
Suh -- He's close. He's made some plays and he is in a leadership role but he needs to stay on the field.
So two. Yep. Two players earn Blackshirts in my book right now. They should have them on at practice and hanging in their lockers.

Admit that you are biased. Everyone is. You can't help but bring your personal thoughts to the media. But don't try to tell us that you aren't. I liked you better doing SportsCenter! Da, Da, Da, Da, Da, Da
