It's just painstaking really. It has to come to point with the players as well that things down the stretch just aren't going to go their way.
Oklahoma State coach Travis Ford complained and complained and complained and then suddenly against Nebraska he gets all of the calls down the stretch and they win.
Then the Huskers are hosting one of the Big 12 darlings, KU, and of course when the game is on the line the refs give it to the Jayhawks. I really hate to say it but I've see it true way too much. If you don't blow a team like that out, the refs help them. It's obvious. There is no way that call goes the way it does down the line for the Huskers at KU. It's a no-call. Instead KU's best player goes to the line for free throws instead of the Huskers having the momentum and going the other way.
It's tough too because give the Huskers those two games and they are right at the heart of things in the Big 12 and it helps recruiting. Instead now KU's hopes for the ncaa tournament remain in tact and they look like the pretty darlings that the big 12 wants them to be!
