OK so tomorrow night Colbi is having her friend's birthday party. You know the one that they have that doesn't include the family. Well anyway they are hitting the mall for awhile and then it is to our house for a sleepover! Ugh...I didn't think sleepovers happened anymore. I just thought that was until like the 2nd grade.
So it is now my understanding that there will be up to 10 teenage girls in the house all night!
Options:
1. Stay in a hotel.
2. Buy earplugs.
3. Cancel it.
4. Pray for a ton of snow.
5. Forget to pick them up from the mall.
Any other options?
UPDATE (1:13 P.M.)
Two of them are here so far. We had to drive to one outside of town and the other one was driven in from outside of town. First casualty, one of them fell down our stairs! But she's ok.
UPDATE 2 (2:59 p.m.)
The house is all quiet. They are off at the mall doing whatever a bunch of 12, 13 and 14 year old girls do at the mall. Hopefully we won't be having to go downtown or anything. The calm before the storm.
UPDATE 3 (5:47 p.m.)
Lori is off to get the girls from the mall. So I think Bret and I have about 20 more minutes of peace and then some pizza.
UPDATE 4 (7:23 P.M.)
It has moved into high gear. They totally destroyed the three large Pizza Hut pizzas that we got (sausage, hamburger and ham) and the huge order of family breadsticks. Then came the singing of "Sally the Camel has three humps". We remembered to close one of the doors that leads to the upstairs. I think that is the only one though. How come when it is quiet I wonder what is going on? Spilled pop! Should have known.
UPDATE 5 (8:43 P.M.)
The damage hasn't been too bad. I think there was a little hide and seek going on and some bumping of heads. N0w they are screaming some karaoke and it's not good singing what so ever.
UPDATE 6 (8:27 a.m.)
yep 12 hours later. Last night I took my book and closed the door and read my book by Grisham. I think I was asleep by 9:30 p.m. and didn't hear anything the rest of the night. Glorious! Making coffee now. Forget anything I said about teenage girls.
