It was a busy, yet fun weekend. On Saturday we ran down to see a friend (Nicki Nix) and her artshow. She does some good work if you haven't check it out. Then we were able to spend some time watching the Huskers against Wake Forest before we packed up and headed for KC. Colbi wanted to see her favorite, now not favorite player, Derek Jeter. Her favorite now is A-Rod of course. He blasted two home runs against the Royals in a rout of my fav team. I was kind of disappointed because I was hoping to see both Joba Chamberlain (he is the one wearing the pink backpack) and Alex Gordon (both former Huskers). Unfortunately, neither one played on Saturday night. I was just glad the Huskers were able to pull out the 20-17 road win.
We spent the night in KC and then on Sunday we drove up to Omaha and to the Henry Doorly Zoo for Make a Wish Day. I got to see Kade so that was great. We also saw some animals. Imagine that!
