NU vs. USC

First off, let me say that football is football. I enjoy going to the games no matter what the result. I know I'm kind of weird in that regards. When the Huskers were scoring touchdowns in the fourth quarter I was still doing the cornstalks thing even though there were many seats around me that were empty. Speaking of empty, for having the best fans in America, why leave the game? I sat through the debacle against Kansas State a few years ago. I never want to leave early. Why leave a game early? People say there is nothing else to do in Lincoln so where are you hurrying off to before the fourth quarter even starts. OK. Put aside the anger Brian. Speaking of anger, can Alltel not get enough power so you phone can work? I tried to get together with a ton of people before the game but either I couldn't call out, I tried to call out but then they couldn't answer their phone or I couldn't even check my voicemails because you couldn't get a line. That was bad! It was fun hanging out with Jimmy and Jess prior to the game. We made our way around from Embassy to Barry's to some tailgates (that were boring).

As for the game, USC is good. I wish we would have sold out against the run more instead of worrying about their dangerous receivers. I would have been able to deal with that easier. The one photo above is Pete Carroll walking the sidelines. He is the guy on the left. Not a great picture but since I was so close to greatness (joke) I thought I should take his photo.

Well it's on to Ball State now! You are invited over to the house to watch the pay per view.

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
