Father's Day and more

I can't believe it is Tuesday afternoon already.

It's was a good but busy weekend. We got some things done around the house and then helped one of my cousin's kids celebrate college graduation on Saturday. Then I went over and hung out at Zack's house once on Saturday night. It was a nice night.

Taking the day off from school and other work commitments though put me behind plus I think I was a little sick. But I was up and at em for Father's Day. The wife and kids got me a new Grisham book and a nice new thing for the grill to cook many things with but mostly hamburgers. Then we went down to Crete and I got to spend some time with my dad. Unfortunately I also had to grade the speeches so that took away from some of the time.

Monday was just crazy trying to go over the speeches with the students and that took all of the class time plus I was battling this bug. As I was resting I got a phone call from NET. I had applied there for a part-time position to do communications in helping spread the work at analog to digital and they offered me the job. So I will start working for them Thursday afternoon. I had to write up my story for the Ultimate Home and take some photos so I got that done last night.

So today has been much of a breeze compared to the past couple of days and I'm thankful for that.

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
