Weekend Notes

Boy this was a nice long weekend. I guess it is always good to have a birthday on a Friday and celebrate it hard and then have two days to recover.

Saturday Lori and I took Bret to see Kung Fu Panda. It was a really good movie. It reminded me a lot of Star Wars for some reason with the thought behind it. So if you like the concept of Star Wars you will like this as well. Scadoosh!

Then on Sunday we had my parents over for my birthday. I grilled about kabobs. We put red and green peppers, onions, chicken and flat iron steak on them. I marinated them with Italian dressing. But the other thing I did was grill corn on the cob. I had never done that before but I was watching a show on NET 3 called University BBQ. He gave me some hints so I tried it and they turned out great. If you need any tips, let me know. I ate like 3 of them.

Yay! So glad you liked Kung Fu Panda. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD so I can watch it again.

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
