We were able to head down to Crown Center yesterday. Lori and Bret went ice skating while Colbi and I just stayed warm in the shopping area. There are a ton of shops down there. We ate at the crayola restaurant and I drew a beautiful picture that I will have to share later when we get home.

For supper we went to Pizzera Uno. We always try to make it there each year because it is a great deep dish pizza. Even though I'm not sure if I was even hungry when I ate it because we've had so much food.

Then we went to the movie, Bedtime Stories. I thought it was a great movie and had a lot of laugh out loud funny parts. For a minute I thought we were going to be the only people in the theater but then some people started showing up like a couple of minutes before the start. They must have realized that they show like a billion previews.

Today we went to the College Basketball Experience that is hooked onto the Sprint Center. It's cool down there. You can play against each other on the full court or halfcourt (Bret and I won our game 10-2 over Lori and Colbi). There are also places to dunk on various rims heights (I dunked on the 9'). There are also passing games and three-point and free throw shootouts. Lori and I also did our own ESPN broadcast.

We ate lunch at McFadden's. It was a cool bar. The photo is just outside as they are getting ready for the balloon drop!

Happy New Year's Eve to all!

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
