up and coming

Well it sounds like the weather might turn even worse but I'm going to stay positive and say that it's not. Too many fun things coming up that I don't want the weather to mess it all up. These ladies I used to work with at the Dodge City Daily Globe used to move quickly on the first hint of bad weather. When I was editor they were always asking me what the weather was doing. They knew if it was supposed to snow 3 days in advance and the day of the snow they were ready to race out of the office to their car and then home even in the small town of Dodge. I'm not sure why. On more than one occasion nothing happened yet they left work early. It was always fun to watch though.

I was able to do my interview with the Creighton Athletic Director over the phone today so that made it easier to make it to my 10 a.m. teaching meeting. It's weird being the one that they look to for advice on the class. I'm getting pretty comfortable in that role though and feel like it is something I could do for a long time. I hope they will keep having me. Maybe I will take on more than just one class a semester but the current pace is good.

Tonight is the third Sharks practice where we will be putting in the man to man defense and the out of bounds plays. We will be ready for a game!

Friday night the in-laws are supposed to come over for a seafood boil. The only problem is that the weather could be an issue (see first paragraph)!

The weather looks just fine right now, but it's still mid-morning. I hear it's supposed to hit after noon. Ugh. Not looking forward to that drive home from work!

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
