Final game

Today was the Sharks last game of the eight-game season. Even though we lost I saw a lot of great things. Like I talk about, at this age it shouldn't be about the winning and the losing but about doing things the right way, like learning about offense and defense. We played man to man defense for most of the third quarter and held our own.

We got a lot of great shots on Sunday but they just wouldn't fall while the other team stood out at the three-point line and swished a few. That is the way it's going to work some days.

The one thing that I've learned is that I love being a coach. I love seeing them respond to something you say and see the lightbulb go off in their head. Plus being the coach of Bret is something I will always treasure and I never want it to end. I'm looking forward to next season already!

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
