For just the second time in their storied history, the Royals were no-hit last night by none other than the "great hall of fame" pitcher Jon Lester of the Boston Red Sox. Ugh! The only other time they have been no-hit in their 30-plus-year history was back in 1973 by a real Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan. I can handle that one. The Royals were coming off of some of their best offensive production of the season against the Floria Marlins and I didn't see the low-hit thing coming. As I finished reading my book (Child 44) in the outdoor living area, I had the game on TV and I was listening to it. I didn't realize that they didn't have a hit until like the 6th inning and then I started watching it closer. It seems like they started rushing their at-bats toward the end as well. Well at least today can only be better!
It's my place to call home. I'm going to share my thoughts on my work, the Huskers and the rest of my great life.
