Saturday reunion

It was a great 20 year reunion. With many people that I haven't seen for a long time since we weren't able to make it back for the 10 year. Most of them I would have still recognized on the street.

The morning started with a golf outing at the Crete Country Club. The team of Ann, Kristi, James and I shot a 2-under par so we were pretty happy with that. We didn't bogey a hole and we made some long putts. There were about 14 of us that played golf in the morning.

After that many of us ran down to Pizza Hut and had a quick lunch. After a while it was back to the Country Club for supper as people started pouring in. The room was packed and people even had to eat outside. There were probably over 100 people in the place. Everyone is doing so well and are so independent. It was great spending even a couple of minutes with each person. I think I got a chance to talk to everyone that was there.

Afterwards I needed something to eat and a ride so I went with Leslie and Janelle (bottom pic) with Dara (top pic) following behind in her mini-van (even though she got lost when she followed the wrong car down to Amigo's). We then took our chips and cheese to Janelle's parents house and sat out on the back deck and ate them and talked. Since I found out Dara doesn't live to far away she gave me a ride to my car and then we followed each other home to Lincoln and I got home at 3 a.m. What a fun night!

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
