I didn't run in the morning. I decided to take the day off even though it is beautiful. We left in the morning for Canan Island Lighthouse. It was tucked in an area behind a lot of trees. It was a nice area and the water overlooked Lake Michigan.
We then headed to lunch at a neat place, Ned and Fuzzy's, along the coast of Green Bay. It was too cold to sit outside (at least for the kids) but they had a cover over a section so the view was just as nice but warmer. The U.S. Coast Guard pulled up in a boat so we felt safe.
We then drove to play putt-putt golf at another Pirate's Cove. On about the 4th hole it started pouring. Luckily we were near a tunnel so we waited it out inside of there. It sprinkled a little bit for the rest of it but it was fun. I won but Bret made 3 holes in one on the last six holes. We did that in Sister Bay.
It was still cold and windy as we headed to where we were supposed to go sailing in Emphaim. When we got there they said we would have to wait till 3 to make a decision so we went to an ice cream shop. The ice cream shop was super slow so we had to go but the boating got cancelled.
So we headed back to the hotel but we made a stop at another ice cream shop. We then went back to the hotel and swam.
Then we got back into the Trailblazer and headed to Shipwrecked in Egg Harbor. It's a place that is supposed to be haunted. Our waitress she she hasn't seen any ghosts but she did say there is a rock floor in the basement that is kind of creepy, especially in the dark. The place made micro brews so I tried a few and I liked the cherry kind the best. I had the grilled salmon with a pineapple salsa. After supper we decided to stop and pick up some more spirits for the night. They had a wine tasting in the market so we did that before deciding on another kind and some High Point beer. The beer was OK but the wine was yummy!
We drove back and the kids swam even more and Lori and I went for a walk along the coast as the sun went down.
