We left for Sturgeon Bay after a busy workout morning. I went for a 2-mile run (15:47) around the block that our hotel was on. It was cool with big planes taking off and such. Then I came back and had breakfast. They had one of those cool waffle making machines that I love so much. There were some virgin waffle makers in there using it though so it was fun to watch them struggling with it. Those things are hot and those people, I think they were from Germany, nearly burned themselves. Lori had to step in and help. We went to the pool again until 10:30 and then left at 11:30. As we made our way through Minnesota I think I only saw like 9 lakes. Isn't this supposed to be the land of 10,000 lakes. I will tell you what I saw 10,000 of in Wisconsin though, silos. Those things were everywhere.
We ate lunch at a Wendy's in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. It was our only choice. I found out later on on the trip that Miller has a microbrewery type place in that town. That would have been fun to see. The driving was pretty easy because there was only 1 point where we didn't have a 4-lane road to drive on.
Our resort was super nice. Separate bedroom for us and the living room area for the kids with a pullout and a full kitchen. I should have brought a grill and my golf clubs along though because there were courses everywhere. Once we got there we went for a walk and I found a jogging area. Then we went swimming in a nice indoor pool. It was huge with a basketball hoop and a big hot tub.
We went walked to supper at a place called Sonny's. Colbi and I shared a thin crust sausage, ham and pineapple pizza.
