Monday thoughts

It was so hot tonight. Even when I left for the walk/run at 8:15 it was 95 degree with a huge heat index. Lori and walked for awhile and then I took off up to 56th Street and then met back up with her just past 48th. I ran for 14 minutes. My legs are hurting tonight though. It must have been the pounding from the gravel roads on Sunday (it was still worth it though). I need to build up for the race in Omaha but this heat is just killing me. I'm sure it will turn in Sept. to be cooler but that time can't come soon enough.

I thought I pulled a stupid one in regards to Husker football. My cousin Greg was great to line us up with some tickets to the Royals-Yankees series in KC for Sept. 8. For some reason I completely forgot about Husker football (yikes, what is wrong with me). But luckily tonight I looked and the Wake Forest game starts at 11 a.m. Wow! Thanks universe since the Royals game doesn't start until 6:10 I shouldn't have to leave until the game is over and Huskers are 2-0.

It was my coworker/friend Brittany's last day today. She is leaving to go to the Minnow Project. I'm proud of her and the success that she will have.

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
