wish practice

I got the chance to go to an hour of Husker football practice tonight. We had a group of wish kids at the practice. It was inside of the new practice facility but it was hot! Super hot! Many of them had to move into the air conditioned area. Per the rules, I won't share anything I saw but I will say that there were a few players that impressed me. Another thing I will say is that lineman Matt Slauson is huge! After practice got done, they all waited for the players and the coaches to come off the field. All of them were so nice and treated the wish kids and their families great! Quarterback Sam Keller hung around forever and I got a chance to chat with him and Coach Callahan for a bit. Another great person to get to know around the program is Coach Cassidy. He is coach Callahan's right hand man and is perfect for that situation. We had like 7 wish kids and then members of their family there so there were like 25 of them.

I have to find a way to run tonight but the heat index is out of control!

ADDITION: I did find a way to run. Bret rode along on his bike and I ran the 3 mile route in 27:59. No where near my best but it's been no where near this hot! I downloaded Jack Johnson In Between Dreams tonight and it's great!
