Election Day eve

Well it's a single day before the election. I still haven't decided who I'm going to vote for for President and I'm sick and tired of hearing the pundits say that if you haven't decided yet you are stupid. What is that supposed to mean? I think it is a super important election and I'm trying to gather every bit of information before I decide.

Lori and I usually got vote together at night so we will find out what the lines are like. Speaking of lines, what is the deal with all of the early voting? Then people are complaining that they have to wait in the lines so long and the media is focusing on it as well. How stupid is that! It's not election day. Wait until the election and vote. It's not that complicated. They are talking about people being disinfranchised because they have to wait in line so long and some of them are thinking about walking away and not voting. Good idea! Come back on election day and vote! That is when they have everyone out there in the polling places ready to take your vote. It seems like the Democrats are pushing people to vote early because Obama has a big lead and they want to keep that momentum and not allow people to change their minds. Or if something bad happens (like has happened on weekend's prior to previous elections) that the votes have already been cast. Can you go back and change your vote? I bet not.

I guess we will see what happens on Tuesday night. I'm predicting a close vote as far as in the general votes cast -- like Obama 48, McCain 46 or something like that but that Obama will dominate the electoral vote.

It's definitely a major election - and I'm definitely going to vote! It will be very interesting to see who wins...

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
