Wolverine woes

10, 12, 13, 6

Those are the Rivals rankings of the Michigan Wolverines' recruiting classes the last four years. Lee Corso said on ESPN this morning that the more talent wins 80 percent of the time. Then everyone went into whining to say that Michigan doesn't have any talent. Does this make any sense? They have had a top 15 recruiting class in each of the last four years! So logic would say that they should win more than three games.

I don't buy into the excuse any more about having to put your own players into the system. At Michigan you should be able to roll over many of the weak teams in the Big 11 and their easy pre-conference season schedule.

I know when Nebraska was going through its three-game losing streak that is what the talking heads at ESPN were saying as well. But look how it has played out. Bo has been the teams that they are supposed to beat and maybe squeaked an extra one out (Kansas). So I'm not buying into it. Take the players that you have and make them better. Michigan obviously has the talent. I wouldn't be surprised if they give Ohio State a tough game today and then what do the talking heads have to say?

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
