Saltdogs 2-0

Bret and I met up with my mom and dad and we went to our second Saltdogs game of the season. It was Mardi Gras night. They have a fun promotion where they set a table up on the visitor's dugout (right by our season tickets) and had a jambalya eating contest. It was great. I had a big platter of grande nachos myself yum but bad for all others parts of your body. The Saltdogs ended up scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the first but they wouldn't score again. But it was enough even though it got close at the end. I don't like to leave games early, heck, that is the reason that you come but I knew Bret was tired and it was already a half an hour after his bedtime so we left heading into the bottom of the eighth. St. Paul would rally in the top of the ninth as we heard when we got back to the car, but Lincoln won 4-2.

So it begins...

My schedule starts picking up again today as the class I teach at UNL (JGen 300) starts. I'm teaching on Tuesday's and Thursday's this semester from 9:30-10:45. I hope I have a great class like last semester. We will see. This will be my third semester teaching the class so I feel a lot more comfortable heading into it. I have all of the weeks figured out and the days will be much busier because I'm trying to pack the three days into two. Maybe one of the students will bring me an apple!
